Release Yourself

Alone in my apartment on Manchester Place, I met her in the bathroom and looked her square in the eyes. The connection did not break; I didn't want it to. Our eyes locked like two pit bulls jaw locked and would not not release. I could see that she wasn't entirely comfortable with this encounter, yet I would not let up. I was determined to see through the windows of her soul; to read every underlying thought and feeling simply by keeping my focus on her eyes. I saw pain and suffering, hurt and abuse, anger and despair... Her eyebrows wrinkled as she tried not to look away being as stubborn as I to win this gazing contest. But she knew if she looked away, she would have lost. Persistently, I kept my eyes focused on hers; it was not easy but I kept on. I waited patiently for her struggle to cease. Eventually, she broke as I gently whispered, "I love you." The tears flowed like waterfalls releasing years of hurt, pain, mistreatment, abuse, anger, lonliness; all kinds of emotional baggage. They came down violently. It was hard to keep looking but I was determined. As she tried to mutter the words "I hate. ...", "I firmly said, I love you." She said, "I wish you were never born!" I said, "You were bought with a price." She said, "I should just die." I said, "you shall live and not die." She said, "I am hitious! Look at me! No one ever has, or will ever love me!" I said, "you are beautifully and wonderfully made. I love you. You are loved by the Most High God. Remember? The one you sing about?"
The tears continued to fall. She broke contact and looked away as she remembered the God she always sang about, told others about, prayed to, and experienced. I continued to chase her eyes as she broke down. I slowly leaned to hug her and pick her back up. Standing again, I gained her eyes and very slowly she began to smile; slightly, but a smile nonetheless. As I stared into her eyes again, I saw her heart smile for the first time, ever. I said, "I love you" and felt a spark; a real connection that changed my life forever. I told her,"God sees your heart and you are forgiven. Nothing that ever happened to you was your fault and His redemption is near. Be healed by the power of The Blood. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Be healed and be free. The price has already been paid in full. I love you." I continued to keep my eyes locked, for I was determined to love and release.....me.
That day changed my life forever. I pray for the broken, battered, bruised, lost, and deceived that you find your healing and freedom. There is nothing more powerful than a bound vessel that has been set free. God is still in the healing business. Get Yours Today! Who the Son sets free is free indeed.
I pray you are blessed by this.
God bless!
